Part Two Shopping At Ross
|February 7, 2013||Posted by Helen under Uncategorized|
Tuesday afternoon, I just had to return to Ross for another day of shopping. Earlier this week, I showed you the chairs that some believe too contemporary for his/her style. I certainly understand that as my style is more traditional/colonial. Whatever!!!
Ross Dress For Less was packed with shoppers. “Why,” you ask. The answer is quite simple, they sell inexpensive items, actually greatly reduced items for a fraction of what you might see that same item in another local shop. People shop at Ross looking for the deals. And Tuesday did not prove to be a different day…there were many wonderful things right there. I love seeing ladies with their friends laughing and trying to decide who is going to get the one item left, if they both are nutzo over it.
See the top photo taken in my kitchen a while back…probably about 2 years ago? The flowers in the “Sculptured Daisy” pitcher look great from either side…the spout to the left and handle to the right or vice versa. Just one way is solid ecru. And no, I haven’t used it to serve iced tea…knew you were wondering! And another thing you must hear about me…I absolutely do not like stark white dishes! Gulp! Bigger gulp! It’s about to happen…never thought I’d live to see the day, that I’d consider bright white dishes!
What is happening to me? My taste might be changing a bit…not that much..or maybe so! Anyway, sadly I was able to talk myself out of buying it…yes, I’m deranged. There is hope, maybe just maybe I’ll get back in time to pay for it, before someone else locates that store in Chattanooga. As much as I’d love to have it…see those details on the handle in the closeup photo? So very lovely…then I’m thinking storage! Oops! I almost totally forgot to say that the beading on this pitcher reminds me of the beaded Pottery Barn white dishware named “Emma.”
How many pitchers can one store when not using all at one time? Look at it and tell me what you would have done, please!
